Chair of Trustees

Andrew Beswetherick

I discovered the wonderful work of CMA and CAP a few years ago when I was made aware of a family who were struggling with debt. Since then I have continued to be impressed with their work to help those in poverty, particularly as I was often aware of families in poverty in my work as a teacher. I am now privileged to become a part of work CMA and CAP are doing within Greenwich.

I am an ordained minister in the Church of England and help at St. John’s Church, Blackheath. I have retired from teaching and previously worked in various special schools as a teacher of children and young people who have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties or are on the autistic spectrum.

I am married to Jane and we have 2 married children and 3 grandchildren. I enjoy music, films, photography, trying to make films, reading and riding my bike.
